Dear Parents and Patients,
We want to assure you that Advocare Parsippany Pediatrics is taking all necessary measures in our office to protect the health and safety of our patients and staff. We are following the CDC and NJ Department of Health Guidelines.
Although cleaning and disinfecting policies were already in place for our office environment prior to Coronavirus, we not only will continue to clean all surfaces in the exam rooms after every patient, but have increased the frequency of wipe-down in our waiting room and general areas, as well. Sanitizers are available throughout the office. All staff members sanitize their hands after every patient interaction. All sick staff members have been advised to stay home.
A patient telephone protocol is in place to screen our patients who may have had exposure to Coronavirus and/or are exhibiting key symptoms related to the disease. We appreciate your cooperation at the time of scheduling an appointment to identify those who may be at a higher risk. We have modified our workflow: using a backdoor (to bypass the waiting room) and back hallway, ill patients are evaluated without compromising the safety of our other patients in the main part of our office..
We do have the ability to provide Rapid Antigen CoVID-19 tests in our office, currently being used for our patients with symptoms that might be due to CoVID-19, as well as to test for CoVID by PCR (through specimen collection in our office, which is sent to a local lab). Our Rapid CoVID test results are available on the same day as the appointment, whereas the PCR test results are typically are available in 1 to 2 days.
CoVID vaccine is now available to children who are at least age 6 months. Your child's doctors at Advocare Parsippany Pediatrics do recommend pursuing vaccination: please contact us if you have questions about this.
